H&M to Launch Global Clothes Collecting Initiative

High street fashion brand H&M is launching a clothes collecting initiative worldwide...

H&M to Launch Global Clothes Collecting Initiative

From February 2013, customers will be able to bring unwanted garments into H&M stores in all 48 markets, as the brand aims to reduce the environmental impact of clothes throughout their lifecycle. Any pieces of clothing, from any brand will be accepted in all UK and IE stores. In return, customers will receive a £5/€5 discount voucher for each bag brought into the store. The £5/€5 voucher can be used with purchases that amount to £30/€30 or more. The collected clothes are then handled by H&M’s partner, I:Collect, which will ensure consumer goods are repeatedly reprocessed and made available for new use.
