Sneak Peek: Primark Gets a Makeover on Tottenham Court Road

Cheap fashion lovers, it's time to get your comfortable shoes on and head down to Tottenham Court Road! A new flagship store opened on Tottenham Court road this week as three buildings have merged together to create a huge 82,400 square foot, four storey store which is spacious, innovative and provides a wholly new digital fashion experience.

The store is on a site that previously housed a music hall (in 1870) and, in 1927, Lyons Corner House Restaurant, one of the giant eateries popular in the first part of the 20th century.

Recreated tube carriages are dotted about showcasing individual looks, combined with digital displays throughout the store. One giant LED lift wall made of a whopping 2.9m LED lights shows seasonal campaigns. Much of the original architecture of the building has remained, with exposed brick contrasting with bright fluro and modern fittings.

Most importantly though are the clothes, and as ever will provide great fashion at affordable price, capsule collections and limited edition lines can all be found here. It looks like Primark has had its very own gentrification.

Primark Tottenham Court Road is now open.
